AC 2032 is a highly flexible Network Termination Unit that connects directly a DTE with Serial and/or E1 interface to an ATM network through a Symmetric high bit rate DSL (ShDSL) line. AC 2032 provides ATM Circuit Emulation Service (CES), E1 Cell Bridging and Frame Relay to ATM interworking functionality. It supports both Network Interworking (NIW) and Service Interworking (SIW). AC 2032
enables carriers to use SHDSL line to provide traditional E1 and V/X terminations for connecting PABX, routers, TDM multiplexers, etc.

AC 2032 is a flexible ShDSL Network Termination Point supporting
different operating modes:
- ATM Circuit Emulation
- Frame Relay to ATM Interworking
- Cell Bridging to transport ATM cells between the ShDSL network interface an the E1 service interface.

| AC 2032, connected to a DSLAM, terminates the ShDSL and many other xDSL links. AC 2032 cross connects and concentrates up to 128 Virtual Circuit Connections (VCC) over a single high speed link to the backbone ATM network. Deploying an inexpensive and highly scalable network infrastructure using AC 2032 replaces obsolete DCE, HDSL transceivers, TDM cross-connects, and other leased line network equipment.
