Aethra’s AC2041 is a Dual ShDSL Multiservice Network Termination. The dual ShDSL interface is configurable as a single link with an aggregate symmetric rate up to 4.6 Mbps (using 2-pair Bonding) or as 2 independent ShDSL links (up to 2.3 Mbps each). This configuration allows the network provider to deploy inexpensive and highly scalable network infrastructure (DSLAM, ATM switches) in place of obsolete pieces of leased-line network equipment (DCE, HDSL transceivers, TDM cross connect, etc.) moreover guaranteeing the backup feature.
|
Fast family devices can be connected to various interfaces through a
ShDSL line, providing professional broadband services over an ATM
access network. Based on ITU and ETSI standards, the devices are
interoperable with the great majority of DSLAM and other equipment
on the market. The variety of user interface options, comprising E1,
V/X, and Ethernet, make a wide range of different services available.
Services include: Frame Relay to ATM interworking (both network and
service), ATM Circuit Emulation Service (CES), which allows the
emulation of more expensive leased lines as well as the possibility to
operate in Mixed mode, Cell Bridging for cellular backhauling and
finally IP routing and MAC bridging.
|
With the Fast family Carriers are able to preserve their investment in
legacy systems and provide multiple services in new market
segments, with the quality of service (QoS) that an ATM based
network can guarantee. These solutions can therefore offer great
reliability at a low cost.
|
One of the most important benefits offered by AF2012 and
AC20xx Series employment is the possibility for Carriers to
save and reduce the costs of Network Creation. Convenient
and cost-effective, these NTs allow Carriers to substitute
outdated leased-line network equipment with inexpensive
and highly scalable network infrastructure or to improve the
performance of existing Network.
Used over an ATM based Network , the AF2012 and AC20xx
Series allows Carriers to deploy inexpensive and highly
scalable network infrastructure (DSLAM, ATM switches) in
place of obsolete pieces of leased-line network equipment
(DCE, HDSL transceivers, TDM cross connect, etc.)
moreover guaranteeing the backup feature. |
