Just use your electric cables as data highway to the Internet or for networking several computers in your house. Every room has got several power points offering access to the Internet by using GOLDPFEIL. The data transfer via the power supply cable needs at least two GOLDPFEIL modems which are able to communicate from one power point to the other. For in-house DSL transmission, e.g. into the study, the first GOLDPFEIL modem has to be connected with the existing DSL modem. From this point the Internet data is sent via the electrical cable, "received" by a second GOLDPFEIL modem through the power point in the study, and passed on to your PC or laptop at full DSL speed.
GOLDPFEIL offers you two versions - whichever suits your needs:
GOLDPFEIL P-LAN Modem ETHERNET for easy connection to the network card.
GOLDPFEIL P-LAN Modem USB for user-friendly configuration on an USB port.
It goes without saying that the ETHERNET device is compatible with the USB device. For connecting the DSL modem to the main power supply you will need an Ethernet device. For the connection from the computer to the main power supply you can choose whichever GOLDPFEIL device is applicable to your specific computer.

ELCON's "Goldpfeil P-LAN" telecommunications equipment enables private users to access the Internet via Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and network a number of PCs easily using the domestic power supply.
Using Goldpfeil P-LAN, having to lay a separate set of cables for data transmission in the home is a thing of the past, and you can also benefit from the added flexibility of being able to set up your P-LAN connection in an alternative room at any time if desired. These factors make power line data transmission the simplest and most economical means of home networking around for private users.
ELCON's P-LAN equipment includes P-LAN connectors for USB or Ethernet interfaces as well as optional software with which to set up several independent user groups via one and the same cable network. A P-LAN network consists of at least two connectors and can be expanded at any time by further connectors. Thanks to its plug&play technology, it is not only possible to create and operate a classic PC-to-PC network at home, but DSL-based access to the Net can also be shared among users.
ELCON's P-LAN products close the technological gap that existed up until now in the home networking sector – they are simple to use, powerful and safe. |
Goldpfeil P-LAN equipment is available in two models, USB orEthernet. The USB connector establishes the connection between the electrical power supply in your home and the USB interface of your PC. Its small size and integrated AC adapter make it particularly user-friendly. The P-LAN connection established between the connectors does not require any special installation, as it is created using plug & play technology; the USB installation software for your PC is included in the scope of delivery. By using several USB connectors, you can create a PC network very easily.
The Ethernet connector establishes the connection from your ADSL modem or router to the domestic power supply. The remote device receiving the data from the ADSL connection contains an additional P-LAN Ethernet or P-LAN USB interface. Besides being able to network PCs directly, it is also possible to integrate a router, hub or switch into the communications system if desired; an Ethernet connector and one or more USB connectors can be coupled to a PC DSL network, too. If a number of PCs are to be networked with one another directly, different types of connectors can be used at the ends of the connection; they do not have to be of the same type.
ELCON’s Goldpfeil P-LAN equipment permits the use of variouscomputer applications in order to network computers, and computer accessories can be utilised by multiple users. The various product variants consisting of a Goldpfeil P-LAN connector with an Ethernet or USB interface can be purchased as a complete package including the necessary hardware and software accessories. |
