 | The PCM 4A Transmission System is designed for use in a local line circuit.
Four analog telephone connections can be used independently of each other with a single twin wire subscriber connection to the exchange using HDSL (High Bit Rate Digital Subscriber Line) technology, which is a combination of the 2B1Q coding, time-multiplex and echo compensation methods. A significant advantage of this system is that the use of expensive copper cable for the connection between exchange and subscriber is considerably reduced. |
Transmission of four fully featured 64 kbps channels in transparent mode with identical range (acc. G.711-characteristics) using one copper pair
 288 kbit/s - HDSL - transmission technology
Time multiplex and echo compensation method with 2B1Q-line code
 Transmission characteristics acc. CCITT G.712
Bell impedance control und remote power feeding voltage control
System control with error signalling on the PCM4VA-unit
Remote power feeding voltage for all subscribers
Bell impedance checked with every call
